Hon. Gachagua served as Member of Parliament for Mathira Constituency, Nyeri County, between 2017 and 2022. His Excellency holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nairobi.
Hon. Mudavadi served as the 7th Vice-President of Kenya in 2002 and Deputy Prime Minister (2008–2012). He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Land Economics) degree from the University of Nairobi.
Mrs. Mengich is the Chairperson of the Commission. She is a human resources (HR) professional and business leader, with more than 25 years of cross-industry experience, holding strategic leadership and board positions in Kenya, the East African region, and Africa. Mrs. Mengich is a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) – Kenya and holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management, Executive Development Programme from Cornel University, an Advanced Management Programme from Strathmore Business School and IESE Business School in Spain.
Mr. Felix K. Koskei is currently the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service in Kenya. On behalf of the President, Mr.Koskei handles communication with ministries, state departments, and agencies regarding the daily operations of the government. Mr Koskei has previously served as Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries in 2013.
H.E Anne Waiguru is the second Governor of Kirinyaga County and Chairperson of the Council of Governors in Kenya. She holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Nairobi; and a Bachelor's degree in agriculture and home economics from Egerton University.
Hon. Florence K. Bore, EGH, is the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, from Moi University. She also has a Diploma in Education from the Kagumo Teachers’ Training College in Nyeri County. She worked as a teacher at Kericho Day Secondary School for 20 years.
Ms. Veronica Nduva is the Principal Secretary of State Department for Performance & Delivery Management- Ministry of Public Service, Performance & Delivery. She was formerly the Principal Secretary State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action. Ms. Nduva holds a Master’s degree in Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Nairobi.
Ms Mary M. Muriuki, CBS, HSC is the current Principal Secretary of the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards in the Ministry of Health Kenya. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management and Marketing from the University of Eastern Africa Baraton and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from CUEA.
Mr. Shadrack Mwangolo Mwadime is currently the Principal Secretary in the State Labour and Skills Development. Currently, Mr. Mwadime is a PhD Student in Strategic Management at Moi University. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Moi University, a Master of Science in Leadership and Governance from JKUAT, and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and \ Political Science) from the UoN. He is a member of the African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM), a professional body for Administrators.
CPA Kithinji Kiragu MBS, OGW chair of the IGRTC, offers over three decades of expertise advising African governments and global development partners. Some notable roles he has held include spearheading public sector reforms in Tanzania and Nigeria's Federal Public Service. He boasts a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. A seasoned Certified Public Accountant (Kenya), CPA Kiragu has been instrumental in Kenya's devolution journey, with a focus on enhancing public sector management, service delivery to Kenyans and governance. His consulting career has seen him work with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held a Partner role, the World Bank as well as at the Africa Development Professional Group. CPA Kiragu has also served as Chairman of the State Corporations Advisory Committee (SCAC) in the Office of the President. In the past three years he served as a member of the Board of Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital, and as the Chair of the Board’s Committee for Strategy, Finance & Corporate Services.
Ambassador Anthony Mwaniki is the chairperson of the Public Service Commission. Amb. Muchiri has a wealth of experience drawn from his 37 years of public service. He holds a Global Executive MBA degree from the United States International University; a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, from Nagpur University, India; and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations, from UoN.
A holder of a Masters of Business Administration (Strategic Management) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Ms Gathungu is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (FCPA-K) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
She is also a Member of Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK). She has vast experience in Public Sector auditing, Strategic Management and capacity building for Supreme Audit Institutions.
FCPA Dr Margaret Nyakang’o was appointed the Controller of Budget of the Republic of Kenya on 4th December 2019, to oversee and report on the implementation of the budgets of the National and County Governments to Parliament quarterly. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, UK. Her doctoral research was on Strategic Workforce Planning within the Kenyan Public Service. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, both from the University of Nairobi. Dr. Nyakang’o is a practising Fellow of the College of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. She is also a member of the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya and an active member of the Women on Boards Network.
Dr. Nyakang’o has broad experience in Finance and Accounting, Strategic Management, Auditing, Tax, and Human Resource Management. Her experience spans over thirty years, during which she has distinguished herself as a person of impeccable integrity with a wide range of skills and expertise; all rolled up into a powerhouse of demonstrable positive change.
Dr. Nyakang’o has trained in Enterprise Risk Management, Quality Management Systems, Mediation, Coaching and Corporate Governance. She is both a Certified Online Trainer and a Certified Professional Coach. She has been a Board Member of the Institute of Pension Management, the Vet Labs Sports Club Board and the Kenya National Commission for Human Rights Audit and Risk Committee. She has been an independent consultant, and lectured at KCA University, integrating theory and practice. She is an accomplished author who plays golf and reads factual material.
Dr. Nyakang’o was recently awarded the Chief of Order of the Burning Spear (CBS) by H. E. the President of the Republic of Kenya, for her outstanding role in national development.
Mr. Monyoncho is a Member of the Commission, nominated by the Defence Council. He chairs SRC’s Wage Bill Management Committee. He is a seasoned professional Economist/Statistician with more than 20 years of experience in senior management in both the public and private sector. He previously worked with SRC as Director of Research, Compliance, Policy and Planning.
He held several key positions in different institutions. These included, Technical Manager at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics; Logistics and Administration and Research Manager at the Kenya Integrated Household Budget Survey Programme; Administration Officer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange; and Technical Assistant to the Economic Secretary with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.
Mr. Monyoncho holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance, a Bachelor of Philosophy Degree in Economics from UoN, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics from Poona University, India. He is currently pursuing a PhD at UoN.
Dr. Anneline Chetty is Ag. Chairperson, Productivity South Africa. She is the title holder of the Standard Bank Top Woman in Public Sector title holder. She was also named Most Influential Women in Gauteng.
Chief Justice (Emeritus) David Maraga, FCIArb, EGH is the 14th Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya. Justice Maraga holds a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree from the University of Nairobi; a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from the same University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Kenya School of Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London.
Abraham Rugo is the Executive Director for the International Budget Partnership-Kenya. He holds a master's and Doctoral Degrees in Public Management from the University of Potsdam, Germany. He has a passion for homegrown solutions to society's problems and works to localize and personalize policy matters that are otherwise complicated.
Eng. Peter Njenga is the Managing Director and CEO of Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen). He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, complemented by an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. He holds Senior Leadership Management from Strathmore University and Harvard Business School.
Mrs. Esther Ngari is the Managing Director and Council Secretary for the Kenya Bureau of Standards. Previously she worked as a Director of Standards, Development and Trade. She holds a Master in Business Administration from JKUAT and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Dairy Science and Food Technology from Egerton University.
